How It Started  
Thrifty Fifty Shopper is the result of our attempt to, quite simply, save money.

Like you, we are bombarded with prices every day for the things we buy. Like you, we get the sale pages from the local grocery stores, and wander the cavernous aisles of the wholesale clubs. All of them have great prices on SOME items SOME of the time. And all of them use every trick in the book to get us to buy items at prices that, on close inspection, turn out to be not so great. With all the different products, in all the different sizes, at all the different prices, and with all of this changing constantly, how is one to know whether any given price is a good one?

The confusion is intentional. It works to their advantage.

Knowledge is the key to the counter-attack.

Being database programmers by trade, we knew that a properly designed database was the answer to this problem. So we built ThriftyFiftyShopper.com, a FREE service for cheap people bargain-minded shoppers like us.
